- Owned the area’s sales goals, credit quality, department budget, and team development; relationship manager for the region’s top 20 accounts
- Turned a reactive group into a sales team: credit evaluation hubs, centralized loan documentation, and a new risk-based product doubled available selling time
- First year: hit loan and profitability goals and passed the credit exam
- Left to run for the Minnesota State Senate (District 6, 2002) and begin the Ph.D.
